Back in 1977, one of snowboarding’s founding fathers, Jake Burton Carpenter, started making snowboard’s out of his garage in Londonberry, VT. Today, Burton is the biggest name in snowboarding, but not without holding onto their roots. In fact, Jake is still the CEO and the company is still privately owned. Burton is constantly pushing the industry in their innovation and design, while offering some of the widest range of products out there. Whether it’s your first time on snow or you’re shooting for your 10th season in a row, Burton has a board for you.

Burton Bindings are some of the most widely used bindings among pro riders and are regarded as some of the best in the industry. With models like the Custom and the Cartel, that have been pinnacles in the snowboarding world forever, it’s hard for a lot of people to want to ride anything else once they've had a Burton Binding.

Burton continues to push the industry to improve design, functionality, and comfort. Burton’s EST (Extra Sensory Technology) bindings (compatible only on boards with The Channel) completely remove the base of the binding, and instead have a cushioned footbed. This gives the rider a more seamless connection to the board and terrain being ridden. It also gives the board a more consistent flex pattern by doing away with rigid baseplates mounted to the top sheet.

For boards with the 4x4 mounting pattern, Burton has developed Re:Flex Bindings. These bindings have been hinged down the middle to allow for continuous board flex, nose to tail. So even if you’re not riding a Burton board, you can still enjoy some of the same design benefits that the EST system offers.
