Lib Tech Snowboards 2023/24

            Lib Tech Snowboards are made in the USA and known for some of the coolest looking boards around.  They perform awesome and have some key features that can easily be seen with the naked eye.  One of these is their trademark Magne-Traction (wavy side-rail) specially designed for superior edge control in all conditions.  And combined with the rocker it also creates catch free edges, which is a very attractive feature for beginners learning to snowboard.   As for manufacturing and construction Lib Tech is made in their Mervin factory in Washington state (local for us).  And made with zero hazardous waste in this eco minded state of the art facility.  They offer a wide variety of snowboards including several dedicated women's and/or kid sized models made for smaller riders.  We'll go over a few of our favorite Lib Tech models from this year and give you a run down of each.

The Lib Tech Box Scratcher is their fun all around all purpose snowboard.   It's perfect for beginners with a boxy shape and made for advanced freestyle riders looking for a floaty ride with a lot of pop!  It butters easily and great for park riding, rails, and spin maneuvers.  Let your imagination run wild with this one!   Like many other companies, Lib Tech loves to collaborate and work with various artists for their board graphics.  This one done by their team rider Brandon Reis with fine artist and illustrator Christina “Pika” Burtner that features some crazy cool art on this year's Box Scratcher.

The Lib Tech T.Rice Pro is their advanced rider snowboard made for all mountain riding and speed.  Features a stiffer flex with a true twin shape for versatility in all conditions excelling in deep powder and steep terrain.  Team rider Travis Rice goes all out with this one making it his daily driver and competition board.   Designed as a cambor/rocker hybrid with their Horsepower HP construction made lightweight with Aspen and Paulownia core, tri-axle fiber basalt glass, bio-beans top, and sublimated sintered base.  This one will suit any intermediate / advanced rider's needs for years to come!

Lib Tech has a lot of women's models to choose from this year.  The most popular and versatile is the Ryme.   It features a medium flex so it can handle speed but still soft enough to respond well in the park and great for beginners to attain stability when learning to carve toeside.  It has the same rocker/camber profile that the mens model's have, just in a smaller more manageable package made for smaller lighter riders.   And of course Magne-Traction incorporated edge control that makes ice feel like powder and a catch free riding experience.
